- Keeping computer from overheating.
All computers need to breath, restricting air flow from the computer notebook or pc is harmful and may cause random crashing on the computer, a telltale sign is hearing the fans run very noisy.
To keep this from happening do not place your notebook on any cloth surfaces or bed, make sure it is on a solid surface without any material that can block the circulation, some notebooks breath from underneath and to the side. Inspect your vents and if any blockage of dust use a vacuum on low speed to suck out any dust from the vents, or use a cloth to wipe away any debris.
- Keyboard cleaning
Keeping the keyboard clean helps in preventing damaged keys and unforeseen issues when trying to log in. Cleaning prevents keys from getting clogged up by material under the keys itself and provide general hygiene. Simplest way to clean the keyboard is o turn the device or keyboard upside and shake out the material from in between the keys.
Using a simple lightly damp cloth to individually wipe the keys individually as to not cause unwanted damage or change the layout of the keys by pressing a combo on the keyboard that could cause certain sections of the keyboard not to work.
- Monitor cleaning
This is one of the most crucial parts of your equipment and can cause unrepairable damage if you use certain cleaning products on a monitor as some may actually eat the screen overtime.
Best practice to keep screens clean is use a microfiber cloth if possible.
